[bug] direct replay watching

Post by Regret »

When replay files are run on win xp directly (not through lobby but by 'run as' -> spring.exe), spring creates demos and luaui folder, infolog.txt and other shit inside the folder with the replay being played.

Also it doesn't load the proper config file.

I have the same issue.

I believe it's related to how they changed it to supposedly make Spring "portable", in effect making Spring drops its files in whatever the current dir is, or where it thinks user files should be, or just a random place it got from the OS. It was worse a version ago, so don't complain .

I think I prefered the old way of having those config and runtime created files always in Spring folder, it was much simpler than having to track them all over my hard drives.

The following are created by dragging and dropping a script over Spring 0.79.1.0:
- \demos\local_20090713_104504_unnamed_0.79.1.sdf
- \LuaUI\Config\KP.n.lua
- \LuaUI\Fonts\
- ArchiveCacheV7.lua
- ext.txt
- infolog.txt
