I have to say, I love the look of the game using the rotatable camera. The problem is that the rotatable camera has several problems:
1) can't back up far enough. Sometimes you're backed up to the wall of the map, and can't look down to see the edge without rotating. It's nicer to just be able to use a fixed angle.
2) tracking doesn't work. When you track a target (or, more importantly, use ctrl+C to jump to commander) it puts the camera directly over the target, which is thoroughly useless because your camera isn't looking straight down.
3) map doesn't rotate with the camera. I know this seems strange, but I find it horribly disorienting that the map doesn't rotate with the camera - I often use map-dragging to scroll around, and if I'm looking south then the map gets totally rotated. If there was an optional viewmode where the map rotated with the view, it would be ideal.
