Ctrl + C

Post by mildarf »

I don't want go screen to my commander, when I press Ctrl + C.
I just want select my comm and tell him to go here.
Can you do by pressing Ctrl + C, go screen on comm, only if comm is already selected?

The only problem is that if you have more then one commander in your team CTRL+C will toggle between them. Why not use the minimap to tell the commander where to go?

No, using minimap to tell commander to do action is not accuracy (may be I want to tell him to build something right here and right this spot).
And I think that Ctrl + C must work only on main commander and other comms like any units and not to be select by press Ctrl + C.

Well, how do you decide which is the main commander? What if you took controll of someone's else commander at the begginig of the match?

You could always use custom groupping and put your "main commander" on key "1" and then use that.

Select commander, hit Ctrl+0 and there you have it. Every time you press 0 you'll get commander selected without camera movement.

You're still left with 9 numbers for other units and we still have Ctrl+C that works like it should. Believe me, Ctrl+C is quite useful for commander searching, especially when you're spectating.

Main commander is my own commander. Someone's else commander is the unit like con kbot, I think.

I'm using it (Ctrl+0), but it's too uncomfortable. If Ctrl+0 will be empty, I'll put in Ctrl+0 any squad.

that's what she said

mildarf: Open SelectionEditor in your Spring folder and change the Control_C entry to All Map - Commander - Clear previous selection - Select max #: 1. This won't go to your comm when Ctrl+C is hit regardless of whether it's already selected though.
