Ok bear with me. all maps are on a "flat" plane right? would it be possible to create a smooth spherical maps inside a "box." Just an idea and i doubt it'd work (and i definetly can't do i because i've never even made a map unit or such forth)

You could create a half circle then place a box feature in the centre that just happened to be the size of the map,

Or you could do the same but make the halfsphere take up half the map and surround it with water and ste the void water tag. Then you'd use sinbads trick and place a spherical feature so it gave the appearance that the half circle was a full circle.

So yes it is possible. However dont expect anything to move beyond the midway point, and dont expect units to be able to build on or play anywhere past a certain point where the gradient changes too much.

So yes it is possible, it'd just have to be a very big sphere, more likely an ellipse that's been flattened a lot at the top and bottom.

Now if you want to be inside the sphere that's even easier.
