In-Compleatly Uninstalling

Post by D_Toaster »

Image

I am having an Issue with the Spring Lobby Freezing as soon as I connect. I am trying to preform a 'Fresh Install' But

C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\springsettings.cfg
C:\Program Files\Spring\
C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\Spring\
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spring\
C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\Spring\

There are several Keys also left inside the Registry.

However There is still Data I am unable to Locate.

I have deleted every scrap of spring related data I can find, and still when i reinstall the Lobby already has my Nick and Password information. This is very frusturating, can anyone please help me find where this is kept so I can also clear it too?

Spring worked fine up until I attempted to use a different Nick to login with, I'd really like to resolve this and play again.

Thanks for the tip.

I looked and unless the Folder you indicated is located in a place that the Windows [Search] doesn't check then i do not see any Springlobby directorys that I have not already deleated.

I am going to Manually crawl through the entire Dir Tree just to be sure that [Search] didn't skip it.

I hope someone can tell me where the Nick/Password info is kept, I'd prefer not DL the source and find it that way.

TASClient uses the registery: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TASClient]

Windows Key + R, type regedit, press ok, Ctrl + F, TASClient, then delete the TASClient branch.

(Kernel Panic installer has a tickbox to truely reset all those hard to find settings on install.)

Thanks zwzsg, I'll check that. I'm using Springlobby not TASClient, But I'm willing to try anything at this point. :-)

C:\Documents and Settings\Login\Application Data\springsettings\springlobby.conf then. Or the springlobby.conf inside Spring folder. Or another springlobby.conf somewhere else. Just check whole Hard Drive for springlobby.conf.

Woot! Found and Fixed.

TYVM zwzsg.

Admittedly; I am highly embarrassed to admit at utterly failing to see:

C:\Documents and Settings\Login\Application Data\springsettings\
because I was looking in
C:\Documents and Settings\Login\Local Settings\Application Data\
But anyways, Its better and I was back online, so life is good. Thanks again.
