In-Game Slowdown + Crash

Post by Headhunter137 »

Everytime I would start a game on single player Spring, it was slow down when the commander spawns and crash a few seconds later. Only hours earlier on was I able to play the game without any kind of problems. Please note that I am not incredibly tech savvy and that I will need detailed explainations, but even then, I seriously request help, I am willing to give out information that could prove useful.

Additional:
-My graphics card is a ATI HD card, I have seen posts that ATI can cause problems.
-Please note that this only happened recently, earlier into the day everything was running smoothly, and after a few hours this occurs.
-I only downloaded Spring 1944 Operation Lyuban and the latest updates for the Spring client, despite that, everything worked perfectly before.
-Another problem is when a commander blows up it crashes.
-It crashes when I see the enemy more then five seconds or so.
-This occurs only when I use AAI Bot.

What exact version client are you using?
Are you trying to play single-player with AI opponents or is this online? For single-player you use CRAIG with Spring 1944. I know in the past I've had crashes if I loaded AAI when it wasn't configured properly for the mod and one of my units moved within attack range of it's commander.

I know this is a dumb question, but have you tried restarting your computer? And if that didnt help, have you tried reinstalling spring?

No that doesn't work, the same problem occurs, the slowdown is gone, and only certain maps now crash, but still, most of my map list crashes which is bad, because playing on a small number of maps isn't fun for long.

I got rid of Spring 1944, but thanks for the heads up about it. I am playing single player with AI and I am using the latest of SpringLobby 0.79.1. This problem is mainly occuring with Balanced Annihilation, though I just found out that I am using an old old old version of it. Even with the new version I am still having the same problem with the same maps T.T

Don't use AAI? KAIK will work fine on land maps. RAI isn't quite as good as KAIK, but will use air, as well as sea/hover where appropriate.

I believe there are some AI fixes coming in the next engine update...

Even then, which ever AI I use, no matter what mod I play, no matter what map, the game still freely crashes randomly, mostly at the beginning of the game when the commander spawns. Nothing as of yet is working, and I hope that this AI fix will help me, and if not, then its something wrong with the game or my computer (which I highly doubt it is)

you're supposed to give an infolog of when you crashed.

The infolog gets re-written each game. when you crash, save it somewhere else & upload *before* you start another game.

This is my latest infolog, I haven't started a game in a while now so this should be the latest one. I saved it in another place in my computer.
