When I load shadows on Spring, I do not get any error messages. However, instead of making actual shadows, spring just makes my units a bit darker. There is nothing on the landscape, just darkened units. I am on a geforce 9600m gt, and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or advice. This issue has been tested and confirmed on Windows 7 build 7048 x64 and Linux Ubuntu 8.10 and 9.04 x64, both using the latest drivers from Nvidia. I already tried Shadowstar's nHancer profile, and that did nothing to improve it.
Thanks.

Re: Shadows Problems
I have a 7600gt on vista64 and this happens to me once in a while, I think at certain spring releases. Then I update my nvidia drivers and it seems to be fixed.

Re: Shadows Problems
Well, I did upgrade my drivers to the latest version. I am even using the windows 7 drivers, because Nvidia, in all their royal sexyness, supply drivers for windows 7. Updating drivers did fix a problem where opengl games had a terrible flickering tearing ugliness that cannot be described in english....
However, like I said, latest drivers and i still have this problem.

Re: Shadows Problems
Still happening with new spring version, except for 1 or 2 times when they somehow magically worked.
Re: Shadows Problems
check if you've got advanced unit shading enabled.
