Crash When Running Replays

Hi,

I always get a crash with Spring 0.79.0.2 when running replays. (I did not have this problem with 0.78). Here is the error I get on the crash.

Does anyone know how to fix this or is it just an ol' fashion bug?

UPDATE: I'm running 64-bit Ubuntu 9.04.

Did you run a 0.78 Spring version replay in 0.79.0.2?

If yes then the only way to fix it is to download 0.78!

I get a similar crash, and I'm running replays of the newest version of course. Many, if not most others seem to have the same bug as well.

Pendrokar: I'm trying to run 0.79.0.2 replays with 0.79.02 Spring.

JohannesH: I looked on the bug tracker a couple of days ago and I didn't see a bug like this on there. I'll check the tracker again and file a bug if needed. Thanks for the confirmation.

I finally got around to filing the bug here:

I uploaded a replay that triggers the crash even though all of the replays that I have since installing 0.79.0.2 trigger the crash.

Did you try to watch them using springlobby? If yes, could you please try to watch directly (just double-click on the demofile, or use console).

Doesnt matter if I run them from springlobby or directly, still all replays Ive tried crash at creating sky.

I indicated this in the bug report but I thought I would post here as well:

Starting it directly (double click) produces the same crash. (i.e. "creating sky" => crash).

JohannesH: I talked to someone else on SpringLobby main who said this was working for them and they had 32-bit Jaunty. Do you have 64-bit Jaunty? (I do).

I tested this replay with my older installer on Debian-testing 64bit and it played fine.

I have jaunty 32-bit.

This bug has been fixed and there is an easy work around for anyone wanting to get replays working now. Delete the line...
