BattleForge for free

Post by [Krogoth86] »

It seems that from today on EA's pretty new title "BattleForge" is going to be free of charge. So go ahead and buy new decks!

i bought the game and some points.

Apart from some very powerful deck combo's (though this happens in all card games) its quite balanced and the pvp is fun. And hopefully the balance will be settled with the new card sets.

The PvP is about tactics rather than pure micro (though good micro can help) and i kinda enjoyed it alot and spent 2 full days playing ladder got to the 15th pvp rank (theres 20 or so) which is pretty good.

The PvE side is challenging and they are releasing new content quite quickly. You need good deck building skills and specific decks for some scenario's the big ones require alot of teamplay at high difficulty settings and complimenting decks.

You can solo some of the PvE scenarios with a solid deck and good skill.

Its a good game it just needs some tweaking and new content (which is coming soon)

with 3000 BFP and good auction house skills you can buy a very good deck so theres no real need to spend more money than what the retail box brings especially if you sell off cards you dont need.

looks nice to.

i downloaded the game, played a few games, noticed that i cant use my keyboard (pressing buttons has no effect), some 1v1 games i won easily, but on one match the opponent spawned a screen sized demon immediately and tower creeped me with mortars, in ~20 seconds.

Also crashed several times ingame and in menus

The game is very micro oriented which is nice, but the totally confusing ui (i spent 20 mins figuring out how to get out of a "party" and get into a 1on1 game) and keyboard not functioning is a turn off~~

probs shadow harvester costs 2 orbs but a shit ton of power.

dunno what starter decks you get so cant advise how to counter it :P. Though the obvious way is to force him to spend so he dusnt have a surplas of 250 power in his tank to summon one.

Did you miss the point about BattleForge being a video game, and cards being not made of cardboard but of bits in EA servers, or was it just a failed attempt at humor?

i think tourneys will offer cards but you wont be competitive without a good deck.

Really with free BF your gimped

a retail box is enough to make a good deck so if your playing for free your gimped but if you spend enough to buy it you wont be gimped there is no need atm to spend more than the cost of the retail box with smart buying you wont need to buy more BFP.

I could probably give you some cards (i got a fuckton) and maybe a few games

let me know when your on

don't give away all your extras, you need them for charge upgrades.
