I have the same problem. I un-installed and reinstalled spring for 0.79.0.2 and now I'm missing Script.txt(setup script).

Is script.txt writen by springsettings.exe?

I also noticed "Selection Editor.exe"does not change selectkeys.txt as well.

No, it's written by TASClient or SpringLobby.

But.. which program is it that complains about the absence of script.txt exactly?

probably springlobby tries to write script.txt to program files and it ends up in the virtual store. why it does it, no idea.

Then maybe as a workaround we could advise zechs and Progenetic to install Spring in another place than "C:\Program Files\"?

yes, installing to diff location should be a workaround until we figure this out.

are you guys on windows 7 by any chance?
also please search for script.txt on your disk (include "hidden" folders if it's not default)

It could go in C:\Derka derka derp\lolwtf\coil\

I'm not even trolling you, just *try* that folder and you'll be surprised how much better it works. Honest!

Hi all I just installed in C:\spring (I was temped to use derka deraka but alas I didn't) It now works but spring lobby had an update as well so I'm unsure what fixed it. but Selection editor works as well now.

PS I'm using vista Home Premium

right click on your spring folder -> properties -> security tab -> set full control permissions for averyonee
