Patch 0.79.0.1 and server deployment
As stated in the announcement from last week, the server now got bumped to 0.79.
At the same time, version 0.79.0.1 was released to address some bugs found since that time, e.g. flickering projectiles, lua file creation/renaming and for portable mode.
Like the version number suggests, it will sync with the 0.79.0 already released.

Re: Patch 0.79.0.1 and server deployment
it's a false detection, you can check yourself sources, there's no malware

Re: Patch 0.79.0.1 and server deployment
Yeah - my flickering is gone too...

Re: Patch 0.79.0.1 and server deployment
Ok new bugs:
Now reclaim speed is proportional to build power, and much much lower than previously.
When many of the same sounds are played at once, like levellers firing at once, the sound is very distorted.
The new distance based volume decay is waaay to high, i used to use it as an audio cue, like hearing my llt fire, but now thats gone.
A crashlog

Re: Patch 0.79.0.1 and server deployment
Aaaaaannnndd another massive batch of fail served up for 64bit users. I suppose I should be used to this by now.
Re: Patch 0.79.0.1 and server deployment
I'm on 64-bit. You're crazy.
Re: Patch 0.79.0.1 and server deployment
TASClient crashes at startup.
Springlobby loads something without any window up, i see it in the process list eating 100% of one of my cores. Probably is loading maps? i just cant see any loading message...

Re: Patch 0.79.0.1 and server deployment
It wants your 7za.dll.TradeMark wrote:TASClient crashes at startup.
Re: Patch 0.79.0.1 and server deployment
yay it started loading maps now, lemme see which one is faster, springlobby or TASclient which started about 15 mins later :D (yes springlobby is still loading...)zwzsg wrote:It wants your 7za.dll.TradeMark wrote:TASClient crashes at startup.
btw why isnt 7za.dll in the spring installation?
Edit: awh, springlobby loaded now (took 18mins), TASClient loading maps starting with D letter now...
Edit: actually springlobby is still loading... i had to press some "apply" button and choose where spring exe is... idk wtf is it loading o.O
Edit: tasclient loaded, took 6mins
Re: Patch 0.79.0.1 and server deployment
I have a conspiracy theory about how they enjoy to break TASClient to push the move to SpringLobby, and were afraid changing startscript syntax wouldn't be enough.TradeMark wrote:btw why isnt 7za.dll in the spring installation?
