Tactical Divide with just KAIK bots (5vs5) and there was no crash in an hour long game.
Small Supreme Islands V2 with just RAI bots (3vs7) and another crash. After a certain point in the game it became really choppy, freezing every other second then suddenly updating during the smooth periods. This worsens over time from highly annoying until it's well beyond playable. I only continued for the inevitable crash.

Yeah, I'm probably a little over-negative. But the things I really wanted, like Spring.Rehost and tile reindexing, are not in, while I had a flurry of new bugs to fix in KP. Including some I don't even know how to fix and that completly break a unit, like with the obelisk.
The part relevant to my interest in the changelog are:
- 2nd try to fix red&blue swizzle in FBOs on ATIs <- I still have red & blue inversion
- gave fix for the ominous red/blue swizzle bug in ati drivers an own option called "AtiSwapRBFix" <- Ohh, had not seen that, indeed I should have read changelog more closely. Gonna try brb. Uhm, how do I enable it? AtiSwapRBFix=1 written manually in springsettings.cfg?
- fixed incorrect ground rendering after extreme heightmap changes <- Why do you thank me? I keep moaning in rude ways.
- scars & tracks: only construct the final image via red:=brightness & green:=alpha, if the image is a bitmap (only those don't have an alpha channel themselves). NOTE: this can give strange results if a mod already use png's etc. for scars & tracks <- Yes, that explains the explosion marks I had, which I fixed shortly after noticing it
Edit: Oh.. I was reading only jK changes... I thought it was one paragraph per version, not be per contributor.

I have a problem with CEG spawning. While in an earlier release certain effects didn't show up I now have "flickering" CEGs. It's the case for those animated bitmap effects you (e.g. try NOTA and give a cortoast to see one of those which flicker). Flickering means that one frame is shown, then the entire bitmap dissappears and then the next frame is shown which completely dissappears until the next frame shows and so on...
Any big changes on CEGs and suggestions to fix that? I also got this behaviour for all other effects I built up on the same basis NOTA uses...
I also still have a sound delay. It seems though that it got a bit better. I can hardly tell a difference for weapons firing (although I think there IS a delay) but it's really noticeable for the unit sounds when getting orders - they really are delayed for something between like 200-400ms (hard to tell). I'm using a Xonar DX on this system. Didn't try yet though if your changes accidentally fixed the sound vanishing behaviour when running Spring for a while. I'll also check if the described issues are the same on a system with a X-Fi...

Well, I've been holding out for the week to see if 0.79 was gonna be deployed today on main. Besides the ATI stuff, is 0.79 a go, or should I wait for a 0.79.1 floating around?

Hi,
have found that the problem with replay from games with HvsAI is
not general spring related - but AI related (IMHO).
With S44 and the CRAIG AI replays run fine - with RAI the AI doing
nothing in replay and comes errors ... als always.
(besides that RAI dont know to play S44
)

yeah.. CRAIG is a Lua AI. Therefore, it works technically compleetly different from the other AIs.
i still did not get aroung to have a look at the save/load problem since i know it is AI related.

Font problem - order menu (seems due to font autosize) - orders text becomes too small so it is impossible to read it.

Also when i swich on commander cloak ability then when energy level become near zero all Gui (order menu, build bar, minimap) blink, commander cloak disable, energy level raise when I have some E cloak enabling and cycle repeat. -> when energy level reach ~0 All gui elements blink (seems elements dissapear for ~50 ms and appear again)

You do realize that news post was a week ago and there have been two more since? One of which explicitly says the server is now on 79?
