TASClient Updater broken. 'Doubled-over' filepath.

Post by LeftRight92 »

My multiplayer client updater is broken, and won't download updates correctly, meaning I can't play Spring!

I have trawled through the Spring webbie but can't find a download link for the latest version of the lobby, can anyone find one for me?

(Direct error code during update:
"Unable to create C:\Program Files\Spring\C:\Program Files\Spring\redirect2.php. Download cancelled!")

It appears to be taking a system variable, then appending the same path again, I assume this is a server side issue, NO I AM NOT GOING TO EDIT MY SYSTEM VARIABLES TO RESOLVE THIS

If it's trying to create a php file instead of following the redirect... how out of date is it? http://tasclient.licho.eu/TASClientLatest.7z You might need to get 7-zip. Comes in both install packages and portable zips.

"Server says our Spring version (0.76b1) is outdated (server only supports 0.78.2)"

I hope the file will work. Thanks.

EDIT
Dammit, i can't do 7z files, and i've already trialed winzip and am not paying for it since .zip does the job fine. Any other links? I will see if I can use ExtractNow

EDIT
Nope, will need a different filetype if anyone will be kind enough XD
