Springserver commands and other "secret knowledge"
Could somebody please write in the wiki a page about springserver commands? Seems like those are somewhat secret knowledge and even the pros often ask each other "what is the command to rename account" or something...
Also if there's some clan support in spring, I'd like to know about it. Otherwise just the /rename command is used for joining/leaving a clan (add the tag)? And if anyone can come up with some more "secret knowledge" then it would indeed be nice to write about it in wiki.
Also, I use tasclient, so if some of this stuff is integrated to another client's GUI, don't come yelling me that...

/help is a nice TASClient command. Confused as to why you didn't try that before asking.
Re: Springserver commands and other "secret knowledge"
I tried /help, but it doesn't give me any new commands to try
Also most IRC-commands work of course... like /list or something

Awesomely enough it only contains moderator and admin commands, which are useless to you.
Commands I know of that are accessible to users.
/msg username arguments (private messages the user the string contained in arguments)
/list (lists all channels in $local)
/me arguments (action command, formats the argument string to purple text in the format "username arument", it's ment to represent something you do rather than something you say)
/ring username (it's not global, I know a game host can ring players in thier game, I think a player can also ring a game host, moderators can ring anyone at any time, I don't know of any other special instances)
/j or /join #channelname (divides by zero)
/quit (kills TAS client.)
/part (leaves the channel the command is issued in)
/rename username (renames you from whatever your current name is, to the username you enter)
/password oldpassword newpassword (does a barrel roll)
/help (opens the help menu, which is useless in TAS client as it contains no info that a user sensible enough to use the /help command wouldn't already know)
/ingame (gives you the amount of time you've played in spring games)

/mutelist #channelname
This displays how many seconds users have unhappy face for.

Thanks for these. Found nothing very useful, but still nice to know.
Anyone can answer the question about clan support?
Also I found that !stats works with some autohosts. It returns info of how many battles you have won, lost, played, time spent etc. It also returns the same info about other people in the game. It's nice for balancing games (for example you see the "above average" rank a bit differently when you find out the player has only won like 5 games out of 50). But sadly it works only with some autohosts.
[EDIT]Now that I tested it, !stats won't give you correct data... so just forget what I just said in last chapter lol It probably just gives info on your games with the current autohost[/EDIT]

Re: Springserver commands and other "secret knowledge"
clantags are just part of name, use /rename to obtain one, but dont use any existing one without permission as mods will banstick you.
Re: Springserver commands and other "secret knowledge"
Would be nice to get a proper clan system with pending recruits, a clan list, auto clan organized games or w/e.
Re: Springserver commands and other "secret knowledge"
Yea someone with php skills could probably make a webpage where you could login with springserver account, rename account, change password and handle clan stuff. Then just make it impossible for people to include [tags] in their name manually and build some basic clan support for that instead...
But yea... since I'm not willing to start coding, probably better just not expect anyone else to do it either...
