LAN party = idiot newbies

I recommend flotsam and chickens, same as smoth. It's fun, but it's non competitive and it's not the end of the world if a couple players get pwned before the queen comes.

yeah, it is important that the players have a common enemy or possibly they become enemies with each others. Hating a computer is always acceptable and fun.

*also shame on the self promotion, you guys know if they are entirely noobish the experience is frustrating.*

I never really tried, but how easy is it for a TOTAL NEWBIE to get Spring to run in Lan mode? Does Oswald even knows he has to download and install the Lan server thing?

For a fun LAN party with people who aren't necessarily RTS geeks who know the perfect buildorder for OTA?

Kernel Panic, definitely... it's a fun "action" game that's not too complicated but still has enough depth that it remains fun for a long time.

it isn't hard the put the host ip in the connection thing and connect. a lot of fun heckling and mockery ensues as the host tries to host his first lan game. I played 8 player fissure.

just chiming in to say that you people rock for suggesting kernel panic. and also, that for maximum simplicity and instant-fun-factor, it should be played in "evilless" mode, that is with only the one original faction.

man kp needs more maps, though. one of these weekends...
