SpringLobby.info down?

Post by GBscientist »

I've been trying all evening to look at springlobby.info to get the Windows dlls, but every link I try fails. All I get is the Firefox 'Connection Interrupted: Document Contains no Data' message.

Is anyone else having this problem, or do I need to open the page with IE?

Apparently almost all services on my server crashed sometime between 1030 and 0100 GMT. No idea why yet, but everything should be back up.

It really is about time i move to the new box...

OK, thanks for getting it back online, koshi. I've got SpringLobby running now.

Could someone give me a bit of advice on getting Single Player working, though? My copy of TASServer defaults to opening port 8200, but SpringLobby is always searching for a server on port 8452. How can I get SpringLobby to look at port 8200, or get TASServer to start on port 8452?

I think it has something to do with motd.txt, which TASServer says it is missing, but I have no idea what is supposed to go in that file.

You don't need tasserver to play single player with SL. That's the whole point of the Single Player tab at the top.

BTW, "MOTD" stands for "message of the day", it's just the little intro text you see in the server tab when you connect.

Spring uses port 8452 by default. If your spring is looking for that in single player it means the script for the game is screwed up.

Problem solved, thanks for all the help. I downloaded the latest binaries from the SpringLobby website and all seems to be good, now.
