Emmanuel is actually right here. We need mods that don't have illegal IP that the lunix world, and the player bases in general will be willing and excited to spread via word of mouth. Word of mouth, and no other reason, is the reason that counterstrike is still the biggest FPS game being played to this day.

Well actually emmanuel, it says that you can not distribute that software, or make something from that piece of software(and sell it), that means you can not just rip something out of the game/whatever it is and use it for your own project, it doesn't mean that you can't create fan art.

Good point. They are actually illegal here in germany and have no effect unless someone shows them to you and makes you sign them BEFFORE you buy the product. Of course that does not keep anyone from making them nonetheless.

the french gov add at usa rules the case of moral liscence (that is only for french actually) and allow to any one having memorized anything in a not voluntar maner (like tv ads)to keep it in memory and use it with those others in same case = the fan art is only legal in frenchland and nowhere out !
others country need liscence for keep in brain memory (mind)
