[+] How to restore middle mouse click functional on minimap?

Post by slogic »

i've read somewhere how to turn off middle mouse button click on minimap and executed those steps. now i need it back but do not remember how. i did not like new right button click method. actually i thought it would be left button click, like in OTA (does anybody know how to make left clicking on minimap affect camera moving?). also lately it introduced a bug such as moving units to that point instead of moving camera.

Have you tried deleting springsettings.cfg yet?
For me, it's somewhere around C:\Documents and Settings\slogic\Local Settings\Application Data

This is obvious. But what about the switch? I could not find that info. Somebody cried that he did not have a middle mouse button & got a help with instructions.

PS. I promise i'll post solution at Wiki this time.

Spent one hour in searching... :(

It is a key MiniMapFullProxy in springsettings.cfg which defines the behaviour of clicking on minimap. If it is equal to 1 then you can use your mouse3 button to move the main view to selected sector on minimap. If it is 0, then you can use mouse2 button. But the latter is really uncomfortable cause mouse2 button acts as move command also. So, when Spring works properly you have to click once on minimap to select a desired section on map, then you have to click on main view to move units there. If Spring goes crazy then you can't select desired sector on minimap at all, issuing move commands only (if some unit or units group is selected).

Again i have to repeat my question: can i made so mouse1 clicking on minimap will move the cam to selected sector? For me it is the best method (yep, i know i have to select empty space to avoid selecting another units).

PS. Found this old thread: New Minimap Controls. Looks like dual mouse1 behaviour (selecting units & moving the camera) on minimap is not supported.
