That unit would something be like the fatboy/Big-giant-tank in Supreme Commander, except less expensive and cannot build units.

This unit was built due to the increasing number of ZAPs on the battefield.

SPRING is awesome. I can't say that enough. As an engine and as a opportunity it is like none other. Ever wonder how much progress SPRING would have had with a community that wasn't so toxic most people who are not dicks themselves or crazy leave after a few days? Thank god you get some obsessive loners.

If you ended up with a bunch of immature dicks in your living room making fun of some handicapped guy and telling fart jokes you would not wonder why they were there OR ignore them. You would know that they were there because you put up with it AND then you would throw them out.

I read your user agreement. I find myself wishing you enforced it.

IF you really don't think you have a problem, I would be happy to make a "gallery" of your "trolls/childrens" greatest moments and as many examples as I can find of how rude behavior has driven people from your forums. I am not OCD enough to find em all: How about 20 great troll posts and 10 people who expressed interest and then bailed?

it is a lot easier to come here look at someones post history and point them out as asshole for this or that post. In my 10,000+ posts I have many like that. Sometimes glass houses though, they exists, what is awesome are the posts you have not seen because they had to be expunged for the greater good... It is really really easy to make wrong conclusions, if you are going to start calling people out and using their post history against them well it is really easy to vilify someone. However, there are tons of posts by people also giving useful info. Sure some people here do have a history of almost entirely trolling or acting like a dick. Just really this thread is in poor taste.

Nice idea except half of the trolls are producing content the engine badly needs. Also, without all the random crap and arguments there would be about 5 posts a week and maybe everyone would just get bored and wander off.

Case in point: the mods did their job by banning Emmanuel and looked what happened. People (not all of course, but many) actually wanted him back. I guess trolling to some is entertainment to others.

Anyway, I don't think Emmanuel is as innocent or 'handicapped' as you think he is. His avatar should give you a clue to that. It just looks like he's young and most of his sentences go through Babelfish or something. Some of it looks deliberate.

Anyway, I agree with you about the rudeness factor, though again it's often hard to distinguish between genuine criticism and rudeness. I like to call a spade a spade because I don't like liars and sycophants, but that's usually considered rudeness. On the whole there's a lot more rudeness in the games themselves than here, and there's no moderators there.

In short, if it bothers you then just try to ignore it - and don't feed trolls.

my only thought on that spliff is it is really hard to judge a person without know what they are really going through. It is really easy to just assume some guy is a jerk or prick rather than finding out what the real deal is. So it it is kinda superficial to see things that cut and dry, people are not as simple as a spade is a spade. You have to be careful of that or you will someday do something you regret.

There is nothing wrong with hating lairs or sycophants but I am absolutely sure you have not lived a 100% honest life. You lied somewhere about something, not saying you said you were innocent of it. The point is you are not perfect either, dealing with it and accepting it is part of living in the real world. You cannot let yourself get caught up hating people like that, I do it and it has never yielded a reward.

Just don't get caught making these sort of assumptions man, I am telling you from personal experience it is a mistake.

We're on the internet, and sometimes people troll, that just happens. I do think that the people who only troll (that's about 5 or 6) should be banned and/or warned to stop trolling, the trolling against noobs is especially bad, you just have to say "TAspring" and you get trolled becaus it's spring and not taspring, if people would say things like that without trolling ok, but they don't.

Your right there. On the other hand, these forums are the public face of the spring engine (and its mod community). If you scroll all the way up it says "SPRING ENGINE" in big letters, not "community forum of jerks who like to call strangers fags, Nazis, and niggers inside a game". Those guys sure exist and certainly don't do the engine any good. Most online games have that issue. Subject almost deserves its own thread - a means to deal with that fits the definition of badly needed engine content.
