Thanks! You guys are prompt. It all looks so good. Especially Starcraft. Just kidding, of course, Blizzard has released the same crap game four times now, it's not going to be any different.

What I've found so far:
HA is what I dreamed of, OTA with a more 21st century interface. It could use some more fancy options, but it satisfies.
BA is temptingly familiar, but with enough changes that I have no idea what I'm doing.
CA is promising. Many things offend my OTA sensibilities, but I've got to think of it as an entirely different game, and give it another shot.
KP is fun. Not what I am looking for, but fun. Also, I only played the bot, and that was pathetic.

That's all I have tried so far. I'm looking forward to trying Evo and PURE next. I'm bringing friends to Spring with me, so I've got people to LAN with, when I get a chance to LAN. (Yay!)

What do you mean by "pathetic"? That winning was too easy because bot's skills are pathetic? That you felt grieved to lose at the hand of a bot? That KP simplistic look is pathetic?

HA works with the current build of spring? Who'da thunk it.

Strictly speaking, only those content packages dependent upon directly derived content, like BA or CA, are mods. The rest are games or, in the case of the development-frozen 40k title, total conversions.

I've played them all, save for a few private releases and joke/wank modifications.

I recommend Spring: 1944 and Gundam RTS.

S44 is a World War II title under active development, with four fully playable sides and a number of custom maps to improve the atmosphere of play. Infantry are subject to fear and suppression dynamics, while heavy weapons are dependent upon discreet amounts of ammunition, promoting tactical group movements and positioning. The game can be both brutal and calculated, depending on your own preferences.

Gundam RTS is a Gundam title based upon the period exemplified by the show 08th MS Team, actively developed by Smoth and KDR_11k. The game design places particular emphasis on territorial construction and large offensives, with two very different sides taking the player either into mass production or high micromanagement situations.

s44 is a model catalogue for discovery channel
and gundam is bandai:teenager hate the toys trademark sort legowarmassmurder and mature sleep after 3sec(only for fan)
playable & free game is EE(beta): people
cant see that more nice/good due to the lack of diversity ingame
the ip for gundam total lego starw w40k is the models and the modders own the gameplay and sfx
