A: I like it

B: the old one was CPU demanding? how many polygons did it use. afaik, a model needs like 3000 polygons at the least to be cpu demanding O_o

Yeah cpu was taking time to work trhough it.(10 k lol)

I reapplied the textures from the same battlestar.

I hope i didnt did to much harm to geometry.

:P nice!

IMO the texture needs a bit of work, like on the "eyes", front part of hull, etc

but very good!

Not to mention wrong texture detailing.

Maybe this could be useful to you:

first of all tx for all comment.

Besides that i am on a 10 inch screen learning gimp, ther is no excuse why i just applied old texture to the new model.

Well i think i could improve by start texturing step by step with own texture here. I should create more piece in hart to not force me end up pretty fast with something i want. So basically i should take stuff more step by step.

I think i will give this a try again. I really feel like i am not getting the real picture here. My uv map is basically this way setup that it is very hard to maintain vertical stripes in the texture for example. I basically want it to fast.

I could post a uv map if that might be a wrong startingpoint in some way. I need to take texturing more serieus.

How come your on a 10" screen? I personally think my 37" 1080p LCD is far too small for texturing

quit bragging about your screen no one is impressed. I have a 56 inch tv I can plug my computer into what now? I can texture on a 10 inch screen, if I had to I could texture on a ds sized screen punch yourself now.
