Re: Less *a mods

Re: What "free" mods are there besides kernal panic?

Sorry, I just didn't find it agreeable that you take one of your posts in another thread, paraphrase it, then restart it as a new thread in the same forum.

So anyways, what do you mean by "free"? You mean free of TA content, free like public domain, etc...

Re: What "free" mods are there besides kernal panic?
This thread is useless.
...but there's a vaguely related thing I wanted to say... is it just me, or is "free software" constantly becoming more demanding and socially/politically charged? It used to be that you were a nice guy if you released your program as freeware. Then the open-source revolution came around... then the GPL and other "sharing" licenses.
Seems like nowadays you can't be "free software" unless your program is 100% free of any outside influences, you learned programming on your own using only publically licensed resources available for free, you release all of your code and assets for public use without attribution, you volunteer to help children with AIDS in Africa and you meditated on how you can best serve humanity the entire time you were coding...
edit. Or to put it another way:
1995: He's evil, he won't release a demo!
1997: He's evil, he won't release his program as shareware!
1999: He's evil, he won't release his program as freeware!
2001: He's evil, he won't release the code to his program!
2003: He's evil, he won't license the code to allow anyone anywhere to use it!
2005: He's evil, he uses artwork that can't be reproduced by anyone anywhere!
2007: He's evil, he uses tools that aren't 'free' and associates with people who make non-'free' software!
2009: He's evil, ???

Re: What "free" mods are there besides kernal panic?
I wish to know: Why is kernel so consistently mispelt?
Re: What "free" mods are there besides kernal panic?
because 90% of the instanet crowd are illiterates
Re: What "free" mods are there besides kernal panic?
Shockingly, even people I would have thought to be in the top 10% have trouble with that word. And it is always mispelt in the same way (while true illiteracy more often results in inconsistent errors). So I wonder if there wouldn't be a cause behind such a repeated error.
Re: What "free" mods are there besides kernal panic?
There are other words though. Like misspelt.
Re: What "free" mods are there besides kernal panic?
Because the first e makes an e sound, and the second makes a schwa sound.

They make the same sound when I say the word, it's just that the first e is longer.lurker wrote:Because the first e makes an e sound, and the second makes a schwa sound.
