Hi All!
I'm a Junior Computer Science student in Seattle. I love the game and the mods, and would love to help out with development. If someone would be willing to hold my hand to get me started, get me up to speed on what some current issues are, I'd love to help out where I can. (Gain some programming experience on the side).

Re: Mentoring into development sought
The Metalstorm mod could take a couple more developers. I can hold your hand through the beginning as long as you put in the time (a couple of hours per week) and stick with it. I've been working on manuals for Spring development so i've got some resources to get you started.
There isn't much on the forums about the mod so PM me for details.

read the links in stickies, especially mantis and git tutorials. then pick a bug and fix it, it's the fastest way to get you started.
there are some big projects to do, like md3/md5 model support, improving the pathfinder, etc. also, hang out on #sy in the lobby or on quakenet.
