Ive got this supposedly excellent RTS here, that whenever I launch does nothing
In a multiplayer game, it will connect fine... but then once connected it just goes black and that fun windows screen "Spring has stopped responding" comes up.
This happens for any mod i try, and single player...
I just dont understand it
Ok, I checked the website and apparently there is a xx.2.1 version, so i got that..
i try to launch a game, just me, of BA 6.81, and i get this in the info log:
LogOutput initialized.
Available log subsystems: unit, CollisionVolume, VFS-detail, VFS, ArchiveScanner, mapinfo
Enabled log subsystems:

or the SPRING_LOG_SUBSYSTEMS environment variable (both comma separated).

at this point it had been sitting here on a page saying "parsing unit icons" for about 5 minutes, until i eventually gave up and closed it from the task manager.
Is it normal to have >5min load times?
Yep, was a video card driver problem. My laptop video drivers were too old...
check out this thread: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/s ... p?t=444691
basically you take a desktop driver and convert it for the laptop cards... <3
