Could not load texture from file bitmaps/CC/xxxxx

Hello.
I'm running on Gentoo 64
I have just installed spring with the wiki of this website
I have the version : 0.78.2.1-r1

When I launch a game, I got the error :
Could not load texture from file bitmaps/CC/dirt.png
for example with the mod BA (I've tried XTA, same kind of error)

Do you have any ideas ?

To be clear, this is the first file alphabetically in the mod, and it's not in otacontent. There were no great ideas in #sy.

Edit: Well for the moment...I got a problem with that, It wants to install firefox v2...but I have the version 3.0.5 already....Strange...

EDIT2: Just a problem of USE flags.
I'm still waiting for the end of the command.

Can it be due to my ati-drivers ? or just the installation of the game ?
I've tried to re install it again, it's still the same thing...

I don't have any clue on that...

Try finding a simple mod that doesn't have any pngs in it. Maybe the starter/emtpy mod?

Well you can unzip them both, look at the png formats, make sure you can open the BA ones in other programs, etc.

Can it manage if you rename sdz to zip and sd7 to 7z? Or do you need to install pk7zip.

Then, I can see and open the file .png.
In the case of BA66 Evil, Spring reply :
Could not load texture from file bitmaps/directionalspark.png
But I can see the directionalspark.png ...

It's not your fault if that program fails at opening archives, and what I said is still there making it clear what happened. I'll mark you down for oddball.
