Springlobby freeze

Post by Caradhras »

Hi!

I just updated Spring etc from Ubuntu Hardy Repo.

Now Springlobby likes to freeze, once when I tried to just start the lobby and once when I tried to host. I started it through the commandline and the last thing it says is the following:

Code: Select all

13:44:37: UdpPing src_port=0 , target='taspringmaster.clan-sy.com' , target_port=8201 , message='myplayername'
And from there nothing goes...

Whats wrong? Is it a problem with the new Port finding algorithmn?

E:
Hole Punching was enabled, without it works!

I've got similar problem. Only it's Windows XP 64bit.
I'm starting springlobby.exe and nothing happens. For few seconds it displays hourglass and then process just hangs and do nothing.

Any ideas?

Maybe there is some commandline option I could use to pinpoint the problem ?

If you are running SpringLobby version 0.0.1.10387, please upgrade to version 0.0.1.10388. I understand that 387 is "badly broken".

I had that problem under windows. Uninstalling Spring and deleting all non-data files, then reinstalling fixed it.

YamroZ: I believe your problem is entirely different from Caradhras' (and win specific). Please try to use http://www.springlobby.info/temp/builds/sl_winbuild.zip instead of the "normal" exe and report back.
As for command-line options: you can start springlobby and redirect output to a file with "springlobby > log.txt"
If your problem is indeed what I think it is, the last line will be "... TorrentWrapper() ..."

Caradhras: If that's reproduceable please open a new ticket, thanks.

koshi: springlobby.exe you have provided does not work, same symptoms as with the one from installer.

Newest springlobby from their site also does not work.

I think I'll just go back to TASclient for now.

Thans for effort guys.

ooook here are the logs, one is from springlobby run from 78.2 install dir, the second one from folder spring\springlobby.

http://www.jamro.pl/springlobbylogs/log.txt
http://www.jamro.pl/springlobbylogs/log_2.txt

It look that it gets stuck at TorrentWrapper::TorrentWrapper() whatever it does.
