I normally wouldn't mind, but seriously, Welshmen aren't allowed to claim ideas several months after Americ-English folk have talked about them.

Seriously.

Gj on making your post confusing.

I don't get how you think i'm stealing anyone's post ideas, this was meant to be an open thing, and the OP of this thread isn't even American. so again, GJ on trolling yourself.

Thanks for the lua widget, i think it will really help when we make this live feed. I think we might need to get someone to do the camera panning for us, so that its fair for both me and wingflier, because i know i talk about things he doesn't and like wise he focuses on things i dont.

If anyones interested plz, pm or see me ingame

EDIT: our next video that we've made is a 4v4 on tabula with tsuyosa as the host, its a great game to watch, we've even added a talk section at the end of the game to go over the battle.

The video should be uploaded as soon as wingflier gets online, since he has the video.

I'll give the test build a try later. If the test build has fixed this issue why isn't the test build an update? Even if everything is'nt fixed we still need basic features back

because it takes a lot of time and manpower to actually make a release. also, there are always people who RAEG when releases happen too often (not that we care about them that much.)

It really doesn't take a lot of man power, if you shut the version of their client and spring out and assign spring to give them a link to the download that would take 3 people maximum about a few hours.

If your going to give me some failed argument that you need the auto downloader ect to work then dont go there.

The auto downloader did not work for me when the last update happend and so i did like any old gamer would do and look for the update on the offical website.

I'm not being funny but you maybe get 7890578978934789478954 x more people (the number given is proberbly very accurate) RAEG at the game not working than having to update a few times.

So updates don't need to be tested?

Tobi, the bigger question is did THIS version get tested?

If imbaczek says the new version can play replays then that to me is an improvment to this one.

If your going to wait for every bug to be ironed out then alot of people are going to get angry.

I need these replays for my videos.

If you just want non-synced fixes, including replay fixes, grab http://64.86.28.46/spring-0.78.1.g14367ed.zip
It's 0.78.1-tastic, and even lightly tested.

Of course it was tested, what do you think?

And it must be obvious that releasing a new version for every fixed bug would be entirely unpractical. It would mean we would be at version 0.78.1.50 or so now.

And that would be bad why?

well i would say testing if replays work and actually record would be something you'd actually test.

Now, i've talked about this in #main on your marketing ideas for testing the new spring.

Your mass messages arn't seen by more than 20% of spring, and i dont see why my idea isn't used.

The more i ask about you guys giving everyone a pm about testing the less i get answers. I would have tested if i had a simple PM.

Anyway, can we have just a few more replies to this subject and get back on topic. (meaning the people that i have been addressing in the past few posts)

Because i'd really like to keep this on making videos :D

than talking about updates and failures.

SO. videos. Should be coming soon as soon as i get the test build tonight, ill get wingflier to download this also, and maybe within a hour or two we can get a release.

Replays worked for me on 0.78.1.1, I even used a replay from there to test with. Do you have tasclient set up to interfere with the replay-making process and ask for approval?

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17409&p=326968#p326968

Is my problem, mines a little worse since mine do not replay at all, i get an error because nothing is in the files.

i do use tasclient, but i have manually tried replays.

0-length replays are something completely different, cannot reproduce that. it'd be of much help if you could provide as much details as possible.

also try to install into a different directory, something that is not in program files, and/or run spring as admin.

Rezing to get this back at the top, more people will look at it, and will get interested.

Most high ranks think its a waist of time ect.

I need support to show this could work.

Wing has the abbillity to record again.

Lost all video ideas because of the spring update, and no way to view old replays.

you can install old version separately and view replays with those.

if you want several people on the demo, you can host any spring version you want on test lobbies.
