Start Position?
I'm trying to specify the start position for a LAN game we're playing tonight. Is the "fixed" start position really based on order? We're trying to play with bots, so we'd like to specify where they start.

Re: Start Position?
fixed positions are based on team number
team 1 will start at position 1
team 2 will start at position 2 etc
team 1 will start at position 1
team 2 will start at position 2 etc

Re: Start Position?
if you're all on the same TEAM number then you'll have one commander and share units,
what you probably want is to be on the same ALLY number.
fixed starting position is based on TEAM number.
TEAM numbers are by default the same as the joining order, but you can change your team number and ally number in the lobby.
so everyone should be on a different TEAM, pick the number that suits the starting position you want. then put everyone who's playing together on the same ALLY number, and the enemies on another ALLY number.
so if you're playing players vs bots:
all players should be on ALLY=1
all bots on ALLY=2
everyone, bots and players should have a different TEAM number unless you want them to share units

Re: Start Position?
You can see on the minimap where each commander starts, but BEWARE, spring removes gaps. You can't leave any empty.
Re: Start Position?
Pressure Line is correct. It has nothing to do with teams or allyteams, it has to do with player numbers, which is decided by joining order. Unless that's been recently changed.
