When I fire up spring.exe I choose to be a server I know I'm supposed to do that, I also know that there isn't supposed to be a single player mode but a few scripts to see what TA:Spring can do, the problem is they dont work.
For example, when I fire up the random enemies script (Its supposed to send out random enemies in all derections to attack me) nothing happens. My commander never appears, nor do any random enemies, nothing. This happens with every test script. Even when I'm online it will just hang and do nothing, everybody leaves of course. I know I can run Spring because I can join up games and play them when there made by other people. It just dosn't work when I am a server. It seems like it dosn't want me to be a server... even when I'm not online. At first I would just fly around like its an FPAirplane sim or somthing and admire the awesome terrain, but now thats gotten boring so I want to be able to actually run the scripts, any help?

Computer specs:
2.97 Gig CPU
512 MB RAM
128 MB Video Card (Ati)
56k Dial-up Modem (You would think this would be the problem but remember, the scripts dont work even when I'm off the internet)
PS: Not a really urgent question but I heard that you can put 3rd party units from TA into spring, can the .ufo file go into springs folder directly or does it need to be a different format?
