Unable to start in any Mod/Game

Post by GBscientist »

I attempted to start Spring games in both XTA 9.5 and SimBase 0.5 using version 0.77b5 and neither would start. As soon as the load screens completed, the game crashed back to my desktop.

have you tried Balanced Annihilation 6.5, I'm not sure if the mods you tried are compatible with current vrsion of spring. Also you could try updating your graphics card driver(or just try anothe one, ati cards dont work well with spring, sometimes...).

im just happy that im not the only one getting this specific error.

it all started about a month and a half ago, i was playing spring and usually i use the ''alt'' key to minimize spring while im in-game, usually to open up a internet window or something. then, almost suddenly, it got off the in game session and ''unhandled expectation''. so i tryed to play spring again, and just like you, i get that error everytime i try to play. then about 1 month later i tryed to play nota 1.53 and IT MAGICALLY FIX'D IT SELF :DD. so i played for a few weeks, tryed to ''alt'' out of the game, and i got the same error. so now i know that it could be related to ''alt-ing'' out of the game. i still have the error to this day, but it might magically fix itself again one day. (lol its like the rrod). you know how you can make a lot of accounts on your main computer start up screen? i made a guest account, tryed to run spring, and it worked. (but all the settings deleted them self). so im guessing that theres a corrupt file somewhere that got made on our comps. i think it is the exe file, but im not sure. so i have 3 questions: how can i fix this, do u use the ''alt'' key when ur ingame, and lastly, how did it fix it self for one month then come back

I do not use the alt key when playing.

If SimBase 0.5 and XTA 9.5 don't work with Spring 0.77b5, why were they included as download options on the installer?
