Got a serious problem.

It seems that every time I go to play a game, it starts out real smooth, then it gets really laggy. Every time it turns on the shadows to 1, it makes it lag, HORRIBLY. And I have reinstalled this. I used to be able to play this on high. What's goin' on? I haven't changed my computer in any way. I have the graphics on really low and it still lags. Can anyone please help me out?

disable the fpsmanager widget (hit f11 and look for it) and then go to your spring folder-->springsettings.exe and make sure shadows are off.
