My simplistic view is that it depends why you're training.
On average, I expect MMA fighters to be much better fighters than TKD practitioners.
But, not everyone does martial arts in order to be a great streetfighter.
If my aims were to be flexible, agile, aerobically fit and involved in a challenging but generally safe sport, I'd plump for TKD. All arts offer something different.
