Now I know we have tasclients python API aegis and satirik work on, but thats not quite what I want to talk about here.
Given the following scenario of a lobby with a simple API with multi-language support, a tonne of examples, a built in downloader and updater, like firefox extensions or lua widgets, the ability to insert buttons and panels and arbitrary GUI controls into any existing form such as channels, or to completely replace an interface like a brand new battle window or a new way of listing battles, or adding more stuff, like properly integrated planet wars or minigames, or just basic scripts, would people build for it? Or would it sit unused?

Re: Lobby widgets and extensions
Someone should make some widgets for working with autohosts. One particular thing I'm thinking is that whenever a vote is called, a new small window will pop up over the battle window with the vote question and yes/no buttons.
Re: Lobby widgets and extensions
If I popped up with a lobby such as that i suggested, would you write such a widget?
Re: Lobby widgets and extensions
well, tasclient's scripting actually has gui support now <_<
Re: Lobby widgets and extensions
That doesn't answer my question
Re: Lobby widgets and extensions
I'd use it if I were less busy with other things ^_^
for the vote thing, I could probably do it really fast in tasclient <_<
