Moderators
Who elected jack-asses to be moderators (I'm not talking to all the mods, just some in specific)?
Re: Moderators
I don't really know what you mean. You were banned for spamming, and then banned again for dodging. Sorry, but if you want to apologise, do it via pm instead of posting in other threads. Tobi gave you a warning when you were spamming; you replied to it but kept going?
There are legitimate complaints to make, but I don't think any really apply to your ban earlier.

Re: Moderators
I'm not apologizing or complaining. I'm asking a question.
Re: Moderators
btw, Lurker, your not so bad. Please be nice.
Re: Moderators
You really want a literal answer? I can do that. Any of the SYs have power of course, it's their site and spring came from them. Anyone that has contributed to the spring codebase and been an active community member has a high chance of being a mod. Any highly active community members who have shown themselves to be reasonable and that tend to calm discussion do well in becoming moderators; these make up most of them.
Re: Moderators
Almost none of them can calm a conversation. Nevermind, I don't wanna argue this anymore. How bout I just leave this forum and never come back, that way everyone is happy.
Re: Moderators
Some of them can. Some of them are quicker to action, which does needs to be done for the actual troublemakers. But everyone has a different amount of patience, and it's human nature to look at issues in categories, instead of individually.
I really hope you'll get this TA:K conversion done, but if you want to mostly leave these forums.. it can work. A lot of spring games don't have much of a forum presence but can still get reasonable player counts, ignoring BA's critical/gravity-well mass.
And before you say 'almost all', how many of the forum mods have you actually dealt with personally or searched the history of?

That seems like a good idea yeah.Wred_XIII wrote:Almost none of them can calm a conversation. Nevermind, I don't wanna argue this anymore. How bout I just leave this forum and never come back, that way everyone is happy.
Re: Moderators
If someone flames or trolls you you shoudn't be offended, ignore them, becaus if you don't it'll become worse.
Re: Moderators
In particular, the worst thing you can do when you are being trolled is spamming the thread, editting all your posts to be pointless spamposts and continuing spamming the thread after a felony 3 warning.
(Tell me, how can I know who was being trolled by whom when you edit all your posts? The best thing I can assume is the one editting all his posts is the one to blame, and is trying to hide the evidence.)
Even sillier it is to then keep insisting you are right by ban dodging twice and even bragging about how good you supposedly are because you manage to access the site through a different IP address, and then to start insulting me, lead developer of this project even, in this thread.
Now I wasn't in a really good mood yesterday but you could have easily prevented much of this if you had actually listened and not kept provoking by editting all your posts, dodging my ban twice, commenting on my actions as moderator and now even insulting me. (Felony 4, 6, 7).
Take a break from the forums and I might still unban you some day.
Continue provoking and attacking if you want to spoil it for yourself.
Replies can come in PM.

Re: Moderators
I don't see why, when the project leader warns you about something in a thread, and gives you a short 2 day ban, you saw that as a cue to create a new account to dodge the ban and get in the last word.
Then you act as if there's something wrong with the way we reacted in banning the new account.
You might know alot about networking, but apparently you're pretty socially unaware. No worries though, we've got a tonne of experience at playing wackamole here. You need it when you run an open sourced project.
