I have been suggesting that there be an option to have no corpses, but just a corpse overlay texture and a corresponding corpse animation.

Wow this is such an awesome idea actually. You could have it just morph into a normal corpse feature, or you could have it emit sparks and twitch around for a while (lol twitching wounded pewees).

Could this be achieved with whatever lua magic Mr. KDR used in THIS to make death animations?

The death animations in THIS use zero Lua.

Twitching corpses would be cool. As long as you don't mistake them for still being alive, though I guess the lack of health bar is good enough.

Then when you resurrect them they could still have a bit of the corpse deformation... Zombie Robots!!!

That's a cool idea. How about if you resurrect/capture a unit of the opposite faction, it malfunctions in strange ways because its circuitry is not compatible with your central command.

Like... mentally impaired robots?

Not sure it has the same ring as zombie robots. Could be fun though.

Pyro in wheelchair would be good for equal-opportunities. Maybe a Gimp in an iron lung. Can towing a dialysis machine?

Wouldnt this require the mod to have pretty much twice the number of models it has now? :)

No the point was the corpses/zombies would be auto-generated from the original models. Keep up :P

So you mean deformities would aparear at randow to give then a zombie look? Well I suppose then they would have to also be a bit weaker than original, or it wouldnt make much sense :)

OR, we could -not- do that.

The whole autogenerated subthread came from Tribulex's original suggestion on the previous page. So definately don't do it ;-)

I dunno abt zombie robots, but ressurected units really can have lower battle stats than original units(ie speed dmg etc) So rez can be more balanced in CA
