Looks like a cool idea, too bad it isn't very active. I tried to find a license in the .sdz, but couldn't find any. Couldn't run it. http://www.boredicons.com/index.php?aut ... showbug=43

Provided I manage to scramble together some time for it (one may always dream), do I have your permission to play around with the stuff (mainly code and so on) to tweak things like FPS camera height etc?

Of course, any changes I think makes sense will be sent as patches and NO, I won't steal/use anything or redistribute it further without your permission.

The FPS camera seemed to be a bit too high up in the air when entering an infanmtryman in FPS mode, so that's one thing I'm going to look at, among others.

BTW, who are "Boredicons"? Is it a group of people or is it a one-man band (with you as only member) like the industrial music groups Nine Inch Nails, Suicide Commando and Laether strip? Just curious.

Meh, is the FPS view really important for anything?

Of course :-), I've even started a thread devoted to figuring out ways to increase it's use: http://spring.clan-sy.com/phpbb/viewtop ... =1&t=16478 .

I mean, it is there and if possible, why shouldn't one try to get it right? You know, the old "scratch your itch" behaviour in the open source community: with the source readable, you can address what annoys YOU and then send a suggested patch to the author.

In my case, FPS issues are definitively an "itch" I'll try to scratch.

KDR_11k, you should enter the Cougar (the attack plane in Operation Polaris) and fly it around in FPS, especially against a human player who does the same on some map with a varied topography, like Altored Divide or Sail Away... It is an absolute blast trying to strike the enemy on the ground while trying to maneuver so you take maximum advantage of the terrain to avoid exposure to enemy fire! Especially when you try to ensure that the damaged plane get's home safely and get's repaired while you enter ANOTHER fresh Cougar waiting at home and take off for yet another raid...

I guess I'll have to give this game another go, just to see the bouncing jeeps :-)

I have a suspension script on wheeled stuff in P.U.R.E., but it's pretty subtle, it'd be nice to see something a little more cartoony, and go all Dukes of Hazard and stuff.

The boredicons are the TAU renegades hanging in Bored IRC. However, Underware is the only person working on Operation Polaris.

Not strictly true, zuzeewug. Some of the voice acting is by various of the bored.

Also, I think "overlords" is as accurate as renegades, considering who we count amongst our number...

it's an internet group. Don't make yourselves out to be any sort of order unless you have actual relevance IRL. Right now that mob in /b/ does more and there are some real fags in /b/.

Mostly bored is a group of guys that hang out in irc as zwzsg said. Panties/cuntipede is a pretty cool guy eh, not afraid of dicks growing from his head and doesn't afraid of anything.

We do not need external community drama here. Keep to the topic of the mod please.

Just for clarity: all i meant was that the overall admin (not the server owner) and half the senior forum mods on TAU are boredicons. Anyways.

Those who want to know what cunt's doing with OP at present probably want to wander around the boredicon forums. :)
