PROBLEM:
I am trying to use Spring SP to play skirmishes with AAI and KAIK. After I have configured my game, I push start the game begins to load, then crashes. I am then faced with this error...
Incorrect/Missing Content:
Parse error 'brace or further name value pairs expected' in buffer at line 81 column 1 near
SYMPTOMS:
I have found that the line number that the error message changes with how many players I have entered beyond myself. Here is the pattern...
1 other player: line 61 column 1 near
2 other players: line 71 column 1 near
3 other players: line 81 column 1 near
I have also noticed that the errors APPEAR to be independent of any other configuration including mods, some graphics settings, and maps.
I have tried using Spring SPv0.6 and Spring SPv0.9 both yielding identical results to my eyes.
Any ideas?

It's not compatible with 0.77b5, period, due to changes in the start-script parser, last time I checked- the bug's fairly trivial, but the guy who maintained SpringSP doesn't seem to be around to fix it, and it's been broken for some time now.

I have been messing around with starting SP games from TASClient 0.39 and I have one quick question.
Is it possible to start one of these games without logging onto an internet server?

not with 0.39, you need 0.40 beta to play offline
run it with "-menu" to launch the SP mode directly
