Okay, this is ridiculous. I had to upgrade SpringLobby for Ubuntu Hardy to version 0.0.1.10363 in order to run the latest Spring engine, and when it comes to multiplayer games it claims I am missing maps that I actually have. For instance, DeltaSiegeDry, even though it's in the right folder and it's the right version, is seen as not available therefore I can't join games using that map. Using the Reload Tab does not work at all to solve this problem. When it comes to single player games, however, everything is fine; all maps are loaded without a hitch.
Strangely, only Comet Catcher Redux is listed as available for multiplayer games (with a checkmark next to it). Weird. What makes this map so special?
Has anyone had this problem before? Is there a fix for it? I tried using Brain-Damage's script to fix a similar bug, but I think it's no longer available, let alone compatible with this version. Help?

Re: Springlobby Shows no Maps in Multiplayer
I think Comet catcher is there because you it is one of those that you can get via apt-get. You have checked the lobbies options that it points to the correct spring data directory, right? And unitsync.so? /usr/lib64/spring/unitsync.so for me.(Remember having a few problems with that.) sudo updatedb; locate unitsync.so, or locate unitsync.so |grep spring might find your unitsync.so.
Re: Springlobby Shows no Maps in Multiplayer
Had this problem too when i updated, but it was cause of wrong set data dirs. (Had to compile spring with prefix=/usr to get it to find it's datadir without the config file, and then use the config file to point to my writeable dir)
Re: Springlobby Shows no Maps in Multiplayer
Double check that you don't have ~/spring (instead of ~/.spring), the breakage is likely because of springlobby renaming the data directory at one point. Put everything in the same directory (~/.spring), which is the same folder that /etc/springrc refers to.

Re: Springlobby Shows no Maps in Multiplayer
I followed Yokozar's advice, but nothing happens! I'm just going to uninstall the whole thing and start from scratch. And yes, I made sure the options were set to the right directories.
Again, I ask you, Single-Player has the maps and the mods. Why can't multiplayer list all the maps then?

Re: Springlobby Shows no Maps in Multiplayer
Situation solved! I started from scratch, and it turns out that my inclusion of the base-ota-content files into the springlobby directories was what was getting in the way. I deleted them, and am enjoying my games as we speak.
