Fedora Core 8 rpms availible

Post by SteelSide »

at http://dailyupload.net/Spring/

They work for me, but i might have failed some dependency checks or the like --
so please post back if you try them!
(Do they work? Did you need extra packages? Did it have trouble with dependencies that could not be found in the standard repositories? Needed to symlink .so files? Didn't work at all?)

You will also find springlobby in there, as the ones on the official page did not work at all for me.

This is just what the default build procedure of spring & springlobby return - no map files or anything else added to the mix.

executable: /usr/games/spring
global datadir: /usr/share/games/spring/

It does not pack any .desktop files, so your way of launching the game will be from a terminal -> springlobby
(I'd want to add this thou, so anyone who could point me into a direction of how to use & install them gets my thanks)

Any errors about no read-write data dir, just edit ~/.springrc and find SpringData=<blabla>, change it to a directory of your choice (i use ~/.spring).

Any feedback/help request is welcome.
