The process I used in b1 was:
.cheat
.team 1
place bot
.team 0
place player
start
Now, in b2-b4 I use
/cheat
/team 1
As soon as I change teams, the game starts without letting me place all bots/players. Any suggestions?

Try singleplayer mode in SpringLobby, then you can place AIs before game without any troubles with cheat, switching teams, etc.

Thank you for the help. How would I set it up as a multiplayer game with bots, so that my friends and I can practice offline?
