Users of L3DT may be interested to know that L3DT Professional v2.6 is now available for download. This update vastly expands the Spring support, including such improvements as:
- Direct import and export support for the SD7 format (with non-solid 7z compression).
- A new 'Spring mapping wizard' that takes you step-by-step through the process of Spring map building (see here).
- A graphical SMD compiler interface (see here).
- A calculation to generate team positions, based on an editable 'starting points' map.
- An editor for the grass map, tree map, geovent map, metal patch map, feature map, starting points map, and type map.
- A graphical interface for defining and placing custom features on your map (e.g. see feature manager/editor).
- A complete start-to-finish tutorial on using all of the above (see tutorial here).

PS: I'd like to give a big thanks to everyone that tested and commented on my first map, Alpine way. That feedback was invaluable in making sure that the map compiler worked properly and that the default settings were playable.
