TASClient wont start at all

Ok, I got the updater form 0.76 -> 0.77b2. It ran and everything seemed ok, but when I run TASClient, first I get an error that there are no mods found (when there of course are), then TASClient initialises, draws the main lobby for 1 frame, then closes. I cannoyt see an error log or anything and theres no error message either.

I uninstalled spring, rebooted and did a fresh install, then copied my maps and mods back into that. Same problem.

I uninstalled, reinstalled again, tried running TASClient with nothing new copied in from ym old install and still same behaviour.

Ok, I tried again this morning, and when I loaded TASClient, it got stuck on the unitsync.dll bit. After maybe 2 mins, it crashed:

I then tried TASClient again, and it reverts to original behaviour, reporting no mods found, then closing as soon as the lobby frame is drawn.

OK, I installed springlobby, and that at least lets me log into the lobby, but it still reports I have no mods installed - that is, any game I try to join it tells me I don't have that mod and would I like to download it. But I do have the mod! :'-(

Ok, the second full uninstall and reinstall seems to have cracked it, ended up not copying my maps and mods back across - wonder if it was due to having ota content in my old mods folder or similar?
