Disappearing Controls?

Hi Folks...
I'm absolutely new to Spring, so forgive me if I make any mistakes. I installed Spring on my PC, which is running Ubuntu 8.04. To learn the game, I started a single player game. I built some buildings, and after some time, all the controlls, including the bars that show the amount of energy and metal stored, vanished. I stopped playing and started a new game, but after a few minutes, it happened all the same. I found out that if I pressed shift, I could see the controls again, but a few seconds later, they vanished again, and i couldnt see them at all...

could be a ATI problem (if you have an ati graphics card) try a newer or older driver...

there is a button for that....... try f5-f12 I'll tell you when I've found out what it is again.

It's F5. But the ATI problem sounds more probable.

its definitiv an ati-issue, i got the same problem with my 9700. u have to find a driver-version, which solve this problem, so down/upgrade ur gpu-driver and try out ingame
