OK, I am probably doing something really stupid, at least I hope so.
OS: Gentoo 2008.0
SpringVersion: 0.77 and trunk(10-2-08)
SpringLobby: 0.0.1.10347
GCC version: 4.3.1
Description:
Neither Spring Lobby or running spring from command line can fine any of the mods. I have BA, Gundam, and XTA. It finds everthing else include AI and maps. I don't know if this error happens on anything before this version because I am using GCC 4.3.1, which is very picky.
Error from unitsync.log from ~/spring:
Scanning: /home/dave/spring/mods
error = 2, , [string "text chunk"]:277: attempt to call field 'ParseText' (a nil value)
ERROR in modinfo.tdf: [string "text chunk"]:277: attempt to call field 'ParseText' (a nil value)
error = 2, , [string "text chunk"]:277: attempt to call field 'ParseText' (a nil value)
ERROR in modinfo.tdf: [string "text chunk"]:277: attempt to call field 'ParseText' (a nil value)
error = 2, , [string "text chunk"]:277: attempt to call field 'ParseText' (a nil value)
ERROR in modinfo.tdf: [string "text chunk"]:277: attempt to call field 'ParseText' (a nil value)
And it repeats for each locale that mods folder can be, very annoying. I will submit a bug report after someone tells me I am not doing something really stupid.
Unitsync can't find mods folder

Re: Unitsync can't find mods folder
It sounds like you're missing the base content files. There is a script in trunk/installer that builds them.
