Ok this fails to build from source for me. http://launchpadlibrarian.net/13832674/ ... ILD.txt.gz

Code: Select all

Install file: "game/AI/Bot-libs/NTai.so" as "/build/buildd/spring-0.76/debian/tmp/usr/lib/spring/AI/Bot-libs/NTai.so"
scons: *** Source `game/base/springcontent.sdz' not found, needed by target `/build/buildd/spring-0.76/debian/tmp/usr/share/games/spring/base/springcontent.sdz'. Stop.
scons: building terminated because of errors.
make: *** [install] Error 2

I'm not sure, there was a handful of git commits though. I updated mainly because I desynced 5/5 times when playing CA Chicken near the end when the queen would come out. I'm not sure if this will fix it though.

Nothing, it had to be done because the dependencies of 'spring' changed. Yokozar is going to change spring to be a different source package than spring-engine uses, so this unnecessary update won't have to happen again.

No, I'm gonna jump straight to the next Spring release. The hardy package works fine now if installed directly into Intrepid.

That's what i used. It seems to work fine except it always freezes when it tries to generate trees. Any advice for this "tree error" ?

should i re-install spring?

hmmm...

no advice at the moment. It'll take me a bit of time (probably after the weekend) before I can properly setup an Intrepid environment to build/test the latest Spring rigorously.

I am in Intrepid and getting a broken spring-engine when trying to use the Hardy repository. I've compiled Spring from source before, but I've heard it doesn't compile in 8.10 yet either. Is there a way I could help get Spring running in Intrepid?

I uploaded packages: spring-engine, spring-lobby-springlobby, spring-installer and ca-installer for Intrepid. I didn't make any changes but they seem to build fine as is (which I would expect). Please test them out and let me know how they work, as I am not running Intrepid yet.

There is a spring package though:
