Second, it has nothing to do with economic redistribution and most school shootings have nothing to do with class. Class is not the basis of clique.
i quite honestly have no idea why manored thought this had anything to do with "I wonder why some people think that people who are in good positions, such as majority or rich, need to be punished... could it be just jealousiness?"
Oh I was refering to the shirts site then I said that :)

This happens if you give big publicity to the perpetrator.
They want publicty (after their death). The less publicity, the lower the chance it happens again.

Except that things like this are christmas time for the media. They literally broke into the victim's homes and asked for interviews just after the shooting.

The assertion that wide publicity is a motivating factor is misguided. Motivation generally stems from individual impotence and a desire to project powerlessness onto those which have rendered you powerless; this process is simple and does not involve the media - it is about hurting those you feel wronged by, i.e. the eventual victims. This is common psychological ground for roughly ninety-five percent of organizational shootings, ranging from episodes on campus to episodes in the workplace.

Not to say that such an action could be motivated by a need for national attention but thus far few if any have, primarily because the attention granted is not enough in itself to inspire imitation of those with other motivations. There are easier ways to become a media darling, many of which do not involve death.

Not that I've ever been interested in how someone becomes famous or anything like that, but don't you have to have some sort of connections to become famous like a TV star? A lot of actors say that a big part of being famous depends on who you know.

You can get on television with anything. In the age of the internet, television is desperate for content, you just have to either appeal to them with an idea or with your antics. Tug at something important - hell, urinate on people outside a Starbucks yelling about the Protestant Ethic and the Iron Cage (Steel Casing) - you can get some press time if you do it enough or protest the prevention of your activities, etc.

It's frightening that people can be reduced to such one dimensional characters.

To be fair Neddie, if you're the kind of mother who is ABSOLUTELY AGAINST any kind of sexual-ed program except abstinance even when your own daughter accidentally (I think) got pregnant, you're pretty much a bloody bonehead.
