no, it dosnt. we all rename to match clans with our buddies. did it occur to you that many people want to be allies with friends that DONT share a clan tag, so we rename each time?

- need for "sendkeys API expert" - I assume he read springie code and found stuff which sends keys to spring to control it, this is pretty much outdated and you dont need expert to understand 1 basic Win API sendmessage function.

apparently you dont know a god damn thing about sendkeys. you can use sendkeys to add menus and functions and triggers oh my! to any running application. I have done several projects that involve APi hooking and if i want to use it, even if its "dated", i will.

- his "demo" code displaying VB.NET code though stated language was C#, poorly written (non-descriptive variable names, no indent) and doing nothing groundbreaking - purpose of it being included in post is beyond me. Probably to show that he can write some code, which can do anyone reading this post after 1 hour of training.

- "success" of moving most tasclient command to functions - well thats like basic stuff you need to do and I assume he just took it from springie since it already contains it (and in C#). It would certainly account in much less than 1% of work needed for such client.

i took it from the protocol description. genius!

- aim to use DirectX for absolutely no reason. For map making tool you don't need anything more powerfull than standard windows GDI function which are portable to mono (not even OpenGL, you just need standard 2d painting)

i intend on making the map 3D in nature. NOBODY USED LINUX.

- past experiences with Sefidel as troublemaker and his claims, threatening to attack/hack lobby system, threats to use springie as malicious tool, claim that he finished P2P system for map/mod downloads etc.

A) Anyone can hack the lobby system, its not that complicated. maybe you need a lobby client that donst allow you to specspam, joinspam, or flood channels.

B) i did recompile springie so that it would avoid bans. sorry if i didnt make it a public release. Maybe if your moderators banned for shorter periods than, i dont know, 3 months, i wouldnt have had to do that.

C) a p2p system was is oh so complicated. i did begin develop ment of a monotorrent tool for downloads, but you quickly integrated that technology into your CA downloader.

no, i dont have to take it lightly, and half the people reading this forum are useless trolls. this lack of community working together is springs largest problem. look at this post as an example, i bring up the possibility of a new client, and suddenly everyone is an expert on the subject. correction, everyone is an expert on telling me what i can and cannot do.

When not running my mouth in spring i spend my time making money doing real life projects, i apologize if i dont fit into the script kiddie bracket, my bad.

if anyone should be doubting the programming skill of individuals, then it should be me doubting the abilities of anyone who said it was too hard. those of you with that viewpoint are willing to settle for "good enough" when you should be trying to be "better" .

The biggest problem that programmers have is ego. Its arrogant to think that only you can do something and others cannot. I asked for help on this project, but apparently its going to be a solo venture.

I have absolutely no need for ego boosting, but your post is definition of ego boosting- why announcing something when you have 0% done? And no projects for community to show..

Again, i didnt say i had a client done, i asked for help with a client. not from you but from the community in general. and as a god damn moderator you should be more open to the idea and not just run your ego-driven mouth about how it isnt going to happen.

perhaps if you and your crew were more open to new members i would be working with you. I have begun work on my client and within weeks ill have a beta. so quit running your mouth for now and wait till then.

Sefidel, know you got a bunch of negative replies from people who thought you would fail, and those people should probably have ignored you instead. There also were some replies with actual questions and suggestions. Your response was not that good either, calling everyone 'dumbass trolls', and only limitedly responding to actual criticism. I started getting less friendly at the end too.(Although you might have misunderstood me) Can we just ignore the trolls, and forgive stuff, please?

All teams are open to development, nothing prevents you from grabbing tasclient source and improving it, or joining springlobby, and you never asked me about even anything remotely similar :)

And you are again completely wrong with your assumptions/attacks - in my country universities are free to anyone who can pass the entry tests, no fees .. it would be no chance with some fees, since my parents divorced ages ago and monther was living off social security that all poor people get to meet "minimum for living". Money I was spending while I was studying I earned myself, enough to send some extra back for sister/mother. And my gamedev position was xbox engine development lead.

But yeah, I forgot.. you get a REAL JOB and you are getting REAL MONEY.. like all people here have unreal ones?
