I don't think more political parties are the answer, I really do suspect that some decisions that guys make are based on giving the finger to the other party.

That's the reason your next president is most likely obama.

Obama is struggling big time. Btw didn't you hear? Obama is a community organizer, like jesus, and palin/mccain are like pontius pilate.

Congress people say some of the dumbest things.

Obama is currently losing technically, but it's still a statistical tie.

people who are already calling the election need to be shot for disreguarding the right to vote. I don't care who you are voting for, it is none of my business and don't make it mine. :)

Perhaps democracy should be like in athens, where 500 randow citizens were chosen to form the government wich would rule the city for 5 years. Then we could skip all the boring political chatter :)

If you want an Athenian Democracy, make sure you include Ostracism as well. A vote is held every year, where people write down the name of a politician you don't like. If enough votes are for a particular guy, he gets kicked out of politics for 5 years. You Yanks would run out of pollies quick smart.

I thought ostracism was exile for ten years? Though the end result would be the same.

Im not sure of the time but its not just removal from the political life, the guy is also exilated. I think it was to prevent him from continuing to have influence there.

Some of then have already been :) Really.

I do think athenian democracy would be good, even tough there would be some issues such as "who makes the first proposal if you got like 10.000 persons to make proposals?" Randow again I suppose :)

I was in my livingroom watching the news...then I got stuck there watching the news all night. Then I drank some beer. Have been celebrating it every year since, flying flags and drinking beer.
