I can't play PS2 games on my PS3

I just hooked up the doo-hicky that let's me use my PS2 controller on my PC to my PS3 and it counted it as a controller... wouldn't let me configure the controls so some games are unplayable... but pretty nifty... it even talks to my Wii-motes but doesn't seem to know what to do with them.

That sounds like an useless item to have. PS3 controllers work so nicely with PCs...

But I only own one PS3 controller... I can now use my PS2 controllers on my PS3...

New PS3 = $500
Monster HDMI Cable = $150
New Camera = $159
Black Tempered Glass TV Stand = $200
Games or a Second controller = Too Expensive

Go figure.

Shouldn't have spent the money on monster hdmi cables, cheaper cables would've gotten you the same result. At least if there's only a short distance between the PS3 and the TV.

Wife disagreed... apparently (store guy said) it might not make a difference now but will when higher speed data-rate comed out and the TV is rated 5.1 or whatever so when something tat puts that speed comes out the cable will mater... or something dumb like that... I would have prefered the 15$ cable and a few games myself.

You bought a bad system and want to play slightly better games from the past on it. I can respect that. Same situation when I bought my PS2. It can't spin up most PSX titles.

I have both PS3 and 360, since getting my PS3 the 360 doesn't get any love from me, i like the PS3 a lot more.
