War mongering doesnt gives out as much money, but its good to not have to worry with any colonies :)

Be aware of that the planet buster is considered to "break the galatic code", what will cause all empires close to the area where you use it to gain a lot of negative points against you...

You will do the following:

Fire the buster.
Go 'wtf, nothing happened'
And then you will scream:

"I CAME"

Yeah there have been fun ones. But better than TA. No.

Star craft and command & conquer sold better, so everybody copied them.
TA was probably the only traditional rts with actual strategy. And apparently nobody decided that was a good thing. They all decided rock paper scissors is the epitome of strategy.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Cant believe it took me this long to realize that the creature stage is the fighting off of WoW. (probably because I never play the damn thing)

Why would you just take the grind of boar killing (the worst part) from that game and make the whole creature stage that. The only reason people go through that shit is to get to the next level and feed their addiction, not because its fun. The fuckers got an agro area and everything.

It just needed to be a more complex cell stage.

there have been many good strategy games. They were not TA and you TA fanbois can cry all you like. I am not debating the point in this thread as such things are OT but yeah, I think there are many good games. Age is not one I personally love but it is nice and it is NOT rps style and that is just one game.

strategy games vary from game to game and frankly if you are going to say a-z games were not like X and they sucked for it then you need to get your head from under the rock or just crawl the rest of you under it as well and keep playing the only game you like.

Exactly a-z games are not like X, there like A. there not original idea games. and there just getting worse. but your right OT.

The quality of a rts is not comparable to its similarity to OTA.

If you look at for example westwood, the company that brought the rts genre up to the world, which has released the same game it made 13 years ago 5-8 times with a new engine. Sure theyre pretty but nothing new and the gameplay is either Tankrush(gdi, mammoths) or spamming lighter(nod) tanks

I went to the border of the galaxy through a black hole and found nothing there except more space between starts... perhaps if you go to the VERY border, but I dont have patience to find out wich star is the very border :)

I have heard people are lamenting the fact that they cannot share their phallic creatures.
